Formae explores the impact of simplicity in both design and structure. The fiber artwork consists of horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines that meet, allowing shapes to emerge. Using a combination of weaving and knotting techniques, these shapes are filled with various neutral tones to create a sense of balance.
Structurally, simplicity is achieved through the absence of visible suspension rods or dowels. This is the first piece I’ve been able to mount with hidden hardware—something I’m very excited about! Without visible supports, the focus remains entirely on the design itself.
Despite every effort to represent the colors as life-like as possible, actual colors may vary slightly due to different monitor settings.
